  • Our Background
Michael and Jermaine Dupri established Hip Hop 4 Humanity in the wake of September 11th. After reading article upon article depicting the Hip Hop Community as negligent and apathetic toward the welfare of their fellow man, the duo decided to take action. On October 8th, 2001 Hip Hop 4 Humanity was launched as a help-a-thon for the victims of September 11th and to support the local United Way and Salvation Army of Atlanta, Georgia. National and local artists along with the hip-hop community participated in the all day live remote radio broadcast. Since the tremendous success of their first event, HH4H continues to be an influential force in the Hip Hop community and seeks to address critical issues facing young people, while providing resources that will have an astounding impact on their future!

  • Our Work
R&B Hip Hop 4 Humanity (HH4H) is changing the lives of children through successful collaborative projects with organizations throughout the community. A unique partnership was established in 2004 with Georgia State University’s School of Social Work MSW Program. Committed to implementing the most effective programs possible, HH4H has established an alternative educational program entitled “The Business of Entertainment” ©. This program focuses on youth, grades 8-12, to encourage them to stay in school and pursue post-secondary education. “The Business of Entertainment” © started with students from across the state of Georgia and will eventually be replicated across the country.
